Clear And Present Danger

There’ve been more mass shootings on Obama’s watch than any other presidency except Clinton’s – and Obama’s on track to pass that dismal record.

And that’s even as violent crime has been plummeting.

It’s a factoid, and I don’t see that it’s necessarily a comment on the Obama administration itself…

…but both the violent crime rates and mass murder rates dropped during Dubya’s terms.

Go figure.

  1. People just crackup under the pressure of the assault on decency, objective truth and common sense during times of leftist control.

  2. I was thinking “people just crack up when they are exposed to real hope, real change, the expulsion of lobbyists from the White House, an intelligent foreign policy, jobs for the poor, and…..campaign promises that don’t even survive the campaign.”

  3. Yea, but we all know it’s Dubya’s fault or maybe it was the Koch brothers or the Tea Party.

  4. “but both the violent crime rates and mass murder rates dropped during Dubya’s terms.”

Yeah, but those planes into the Twin Towners were a real bitch.

    Damn immigrants.

  6. I think the current administration’s laissez-faire attitude towards people breaking or ignoring laws (only the “unfair” laws of course) gives license to those inclined towards violence, who feel entitled, or expect immediate gratification, to do whatever they think is necessary to satisfy their demands. “Fairness” justifies all.

I think evidence in support of this theory can be found in an examination of the beliefs, political inclinations, or life stories of our most recent perpetrators of mass violence.

Of course, what can you expect from a population constantly barraged by reminders of how screwed they are, how much more they should have, and that the concepts of right and wrong are tools of the oppressor.
