Got Projection?

What’s the difference between a rabid, senselessly-violent pit bull and a hockey mom?

The pit bull is most likely a Democrat who will try to commit his/her outrages behind the cover of a fraudulent (or just-plain risible) claim of equivalence.

Not as snappy as “lipstick?”  Sorry.  I don’t have a speechwriter.

  1. Sure am glad you don’t engage in uncivil hyperbole, Mitch –

You’re surely not just like other ‘fringe’ elements, on the ‘outer edge’ of the party.

“(CBS/AP) John McCain said Monday that it was unfair for Rep. John Lewis to compare the negative tone of the Republican presidential campaign to the atmosphere a segregationist fostered in the 1960s.

McCain suggested that the comments by the Georgia Democrat and veteran of the civil rights movement carry more weight than those of a Virginia Republican Party leader who compared Democratic rival Barack Obama to Sept. 11 mastermind Osama bin Laden.

“This is not just some obscure party official,” McCain said in an interview aired by CNN. “And that’s what’s so totally unacceptable about it.”

According to Time magazine, Virginia Republican Party Chairman Jeffrey M. Frederick recently told McCain volunteers in the state that Obama and bin Laden “both have friends that bombed the Pentagon.”

McCain has repudiated similar past statements about Obama, but did not specifically address Frederick’s comments in the interview.

“You have people in political campaigns on the outer most fringe on both ends of the spectrum,” McCain said. ”

Apparently the Republican Party Chairman is obscure (meaning blurry or mysterious), he’s part of the outer most fringe at that.

Sure he is – or rather, he’s the leader of the Party in an important swing state expresssing (yet again) the ugliness and vile tone that has taken over the Republican party since 2002 – to whit (see above). Maybe next time you’ll just call Obama a bomb-thrower too.

BTW – for any of you right-wing dingbats out there – Politfact pretty well utterly debunked your claims that Obama had some sort of strong affiliation with Bill Ayers, but their point, and mine, is simply this, even if he did, SO BLEEPING WHAT?! Ayers was elected Chicago’s man of the year in 1997 for his charitable work, completely turned his life around – like say, one George W Bush? – but that’s not fun or sexy enough – so let’s lie about things and distort history. Obama’s name being Hussien shouldn’t be important unless….. and here’s the pitbully, risible part of it – unless you actually consider being Muslim to be something to be scorned.. and funny, to Republicans, pointing it out.. brings cheers, cheers at pointing out Obama is ‘different’ from us, maybe he’s secretly a terrorist.

    Risible indeed.

  2. ah its a full moon and our precious is on one of his logically challenged rants. Don Preciado here is the same fellow who asserts vehemently that Nixon was president in 1975, that the Cold War started in the administration of Calvin Coolidge, and that Joseph Conrad wrote “The Heart Of Darkness” about the war in Viet Nam.

  3. His first line he mentions “uncivil hyperbole”… which is funny considering how many fingers (with unsubstantiated claims) are pointing back at the Pernicious Peev.

Any comment with substance, Miss Peev?

    (Crickets)

  4. Where’s the hyperbole, Peev?

I cited documented examples of Democrats acting like uncivil thugs – and I’m the “uncivil” one?

  5. Peev goes off on unintelligible rambles,
    Getting lost in illogical brambles,
    It’s hard to believe,
    A man like the Peev,
Can have a mind in such horrible shambles.

  6. John McCain said Monday that it was unfair for Rep. John Lewis to compare the negative tone of the Republican presidential campaign to the atmosphere a segregationist fostered in the 1960s.

Oh yes, peeve, we’ve reached the level of discourse of the 60s. No, certainly Johnson never reached lows comparable to what we have now.

Politfact pretty well utterly debunked your claims that Obama had some sort of strong affiliation with Bill Ayers.

Not quite. A nice whitewash that doesn’t work. The guy hosted Obama’s coming out party, even anointing him as Pullman’s successor without her knowledge. Then there were the years on boards working together, various retreats, and even at least one newsconference in the UIC records.

    M. Frederick recently told McCain volunteers in the state that Obama and bin Laden “both have friends that bombed the Pentagon.”

Is that statement true or untrue? If true, why is it off limits to discuss that?

Ayers was elected Chicago’s man of the year in 1997 for his charitable work, completely turned his life around – like say, one George W Bush?

Really? You think that Ayers has renounced violent revolution? The same man who said “we didn’t do enough,” that he didn’t “regret setting bombs,” and if he could do it all again “I don’t want to discount the possibility. You think that’s turning your life around? You’ve got some pretty twisted views about what it means to live a good and moral life. But then again I suppose you’ve forgiven all those KKK folks who’ve stopped actually shooting and bombing folks, too!

… unless you actually consider being Muslim to be something to be scorned…

Uh, dude, the “nutjob” blogs have been pretty active in putting that rumor to rest. Not that you’d notice.

Peeve: about as likely to make a point as a random shot in the dark.

  7. Guess WordPress takes out repeated spaces. (how about a preview button as an early xmas gift, Mitch?)

That was supposed to be an arrow pointing to the previous post.
