The list of at least locally viable Democrats who’ve survived sex scandals is pretty long: Barney Frank, Daniel Inouye, Gerry Studds, Bill Clinton, etc. Now, Silky Pony doesn’t have a base in as blue a state as MA right now, but there’s nothing to stop him from carpetbagging there just as HRC did to NY.

Nah, peeve is trying to be concise. One notices, however, that none of the examples, save Norm whose predilections are only alleged, is actually a present politician. Now compare with the list of Democrat politicians who survived such scandals and are still in power or running for office.
It’s almost as if Republicans actually demand that their folks behave well, while Democrats only demand that they feel the right way.
