  1. How do you know it has ended? The list of at least locally viable Democrats who’ve survived sex scandals is pretty long: Barney Frank, Daniel Inouye, Gerry Studds, Bill Clinton, etc. Now, Silky Pony doesn’t have a base in as blue a state as MA right now, but there’s nothing to stop him from carpetbagging there just as HRC did to NY.

  2. yeah, he nabbed a prime spot right next to Newt Gingrich, Bob Livingstone, Rush Limbaugh, Norm Coleman and a host of other noted Republican ‘Family Values’ philanderers.

  3. One wonders when Coleman’s political career will come to a screeching halt. Oh, that’s right, it’s not unethical unless you’re caught red-handed in neo-kook ethics of convenience land.

  4. Again, Peev, with the “I know you/they are but what am I/are we?”

It’s really not that good a debate tactic!

  5. Peev,

You forgot to mention John McCain, then go off on some tired old tangent about how he wants to be stuck in some quagmire for 100 years & how W’s daddy got him into the National Gaurd, & never showed up…

Really, you are getting sloppy at being sloppy! Utterly disappointing.

  6. Nah, peeve is trying to be concise. One notices, however, that none of the examples, save Norm whose predilections are only alleged, is actually a present politician. Now compare with the list of Democrat politicians who survived such scandals and are still in power or running for office.

It’s almost as if Republicans actually demand that their folks behave well, while Democrats only demand that they feel the right way.

  7. When did Norm Coleman do any philandering?

He was a carpet bagger (like HILLARY!!! was/is), true…

His DAD got nabbed in a nookie-for-hire sting, true…

…but I don’t remember hearing that Norm himself got the 7 year itch…
