Dependents

Not sure where they got it, but I liked this bit from east-metro watchdogblog Expose The Truth:.

In response to the question: “Do you have any dependents?”

I replied ……. 12 million illegal immigrants; 3 million crack heads; 42 million unemployable lazy bastards;

the entire cast of the Jerry Springer Show; 2 million people in over 243 prisons; 300,000 leftovers from Katrina;

half of Mexico; and hundreds more in the U.S. House and Senate.

Apparently, this wasn’t an acceptable answer.

More topically, they are a new blog with a mission to watch Woodbury politics.  I got to meet the proprietors at the MOB party on Saturday.  Keep an eye on ’em!

  1. More important, what did the IRS say when you claimed those on your return? Sounds like that and kid in the house should qualify for tax deduction. Maybe even an Earned Income Tax check. Or did they respond with their brand new shotguns? Let me know. I’ll want to know how much I can get away with next tax season. 😉

  2. I won’t wait for the Matthews expose on Waters, but congress people like her (or Bachmann if you are on the other side of the fence) reminds me of one of the great contradictions of liberalism: it thinks that the government will be great if only smart people gain office, but people vote for idiots BECAUSE THIS IS A DEMOCRACY.
    The system is set up to put people like Waters in office because she represents the views of a constituency that is uneducated, corrupt, and prone to believe in crazy conspiracies. THIS IS WHAT THE SYSTEM LOOKS LIKE WHEN IT WORKS.
    When the system doesn’t work people like waters get to decide things like what kind of lightbulbs people can buy or when human life begins.
