Today At The Capitol

Brian McLung:

Also on Thursday, expect Dayton’s tax increases to get an airing in the Senate (11:00 a.m.) and House (3:00 p.m.) during their floor sessions. This will give DFLers a chance to put their mouth where the money is – by casting a vote for multi-billion tax increases proposed in Dayton’s budget. What’s the over/under on the number of DFLers willing to stand with the Governor?

We’ll be watching.

Count on it.

    It seems to me the DFL needs the tax increase to pay for all the stuff Big Mak and Pogostick shoved up our backsides. Now it’s come time for them to take ownership. I’m betting the cowards run for cover. At the end of it all we’re sure to find that Mad Mark is a dog with no teeth.

  2. 12:30 – Senator Hann calls out the Dims. The hypocrite Dims cower and claim the session is just a theatrical stunt.

  3. Of course it’s a stunt to a degree. And that’s a problem why? The DFL has put Governor JimBeam in office, it’s time to let them enjoy the fruit of their labors.

    Pun intended.

  4. Dayton called the vote today, a “political stunt” and “childish”. Good to know we got someone who we can reach across the aisle to… ram anything you can down their throats republicans. SHOW NO MERCY!

  5. Ben;

    He must have been seeing his reflection in the window when he said it. He’s a classic hypocrite and describes his party’s behavior succinctly.
