Line of the Day

Michele Catalano, discussing Markos "Screw'em" Zuniga's (AKA "Kos") response to Bush falling off a bike.

I used to dig you, Kos. Now I just want to wrap you up in tin foil and put you in a group home for conspiracy theorists. Tighter, Kos! You have to pull the cap tighter!
So true.

There was a time when Kos was a relatively reasonable voice from the left of the blogosphere.

No more. He (and his commenters) are worse than Atrios, and rapidly sliding down the path to Hesiodism.

So - what Michele said.

Oh Lordy - Michele only has one "L".

Change it now, man!! For the love of God, before she comes after you! :)

Hah! I ain't 'fraid of no girl!

But thanks. I missed that.

One "l". Sheesh.

The web of conspiracy theories that I see spinning out of almost everything the Bush administration does just perplexes me. I mean, Bush could go in for hemorrhoid (sp?) surgery and countless folks would try to find some hidden agenda or cover-up in there somewhere. I think blogs, though incredibly useful, have kind of given rise to a new brand of idiot, as if we needed another type of idiot swimming around out there.

I feel like half the country has gone collectively insane. The hatred of Bush is Orwellian - except instead of Emmanuel Goldstein we have George W. Bush and instead of the Two Minutes Hate we have "Fahrenheit 9/11".

I still maintain that this level of hatred will lead someone to make an attempt on Bush's life before Election Day. You can't demonize someone to this level without someone taking things to the next illogical step.

I've been incommunicado for awhile. So--the President fell off his bike?

Just a hunch: I'll bet he didn't blame it on the nearest Secret Service agent.

Just a hunch.
