I grew up on the margins, relying on programs MN invested in to get by.<br><br>Now, I\u2019m running to help Minnesotans get ahead &#8211; and avenge all that\u2019s been taken from us.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/IZUEcGEn0X\">https:\/\/t.co\/IZUEcGEn0X<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Peggy Flanagan (@peggyflanagan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/peggyflanagan\/status\/2054575103002697991?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 13, 2026<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Avenge&#8221; what?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DFL has controlled the executive branch for 15 years, and most of state government the past eight. \u00a0Flanagan has been in power for eight years. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Avenge&#8230;what? \u00a0Her regime&#8217;s actions?<\/p>\n<p>I presume she&#8217;s talking about &#8220;avenging&#8221; Metro Surge &#8211; the federal operation that negated Minneapolis&#8217;s &#8220;sanctuary&#8221; status and went after the sex traffickers and drug wholesaling that made Minneapolis and other &#8220;sanctuaries&#8221; home. \u00a0 And while you can disagree with some of ICE&#8217;s methods &#8211; and I do &#8211; the bulk of the disruption to the city was caused by the masses of leftists with Main Character Syndrome, organize by professional progs to spend their days roaming the city with their @#$#^ whistles and vuvuzelas making the city sound like a roaming Chuck E.
