\nGovernor Walz plans a special session of the legislature to help Democrat fundraising efforts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n\u00a0<\/div>\nHe doesn’t say it that way, of course.\u00a0 He says it’s to pass gun control legislation in the wake of the most recent shooting. Knowing Republicans are unlikely to agree, Democrats plan to continue using the atrocity to dun their supporters for donations.\u00a0<\/div>\n\u00a0<\/div>\n“If nobody had guns, nobody would get shot.” Sounds simple, right?\u00a0 But its First Order Thinking. It’s simple alright, too simple.\u00a0 It ignores human nature.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n\u00a0<\/div>\nSecond Order Thinking asks: “Take away ask the guns and what will Bad Guys do? Sit quietly painting landscapes?\u00a0 Bake cookies, write music, go sailing?” No.\u00a0<\/div>\n\u00a0<\/div>\nGoogle “knife attack.” The Bad Guys will not sit quietly, they will substitute a different tool to do their evil, like the mass stabber at the Michigan Walmart. But this time, there will be no armed citizen to stop them.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n\u00a0<\/div>\nTake away knives and Bad Guys will use clubs.\u00a0 Take away clubs and Bad Guys will use the very stones themselves, as Cain slew Able.\u00a0<\/div>\n\u00a0<\/div>\nThe problem is not the guns, knives, sticks, or stones.\u00a0 The problem is the Bad Guys. And Democrats have no intention of solving that problem.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n\u00a0<\/div>\nIt’s too profitable.\u00a0<\/div>\n\u00a0<\/div>\nJoe Doakes\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n\u00a0<\/div>\n\n\n\nUntil we control human nature, weapon “control” will always fail.\u00a0<\/p>\n
