{"id":88989,"date":"2025-01-02T08:40:35","date_gmt":"2025-01-02T14:40:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=88989"},"modified":"2025-01-02T08:41:03","modified_gmt":"2025-01-02T14:41:03","slug":"who-didnt-get-the-memo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=88989","title":{"rendered":"Who Didn&#8217;t Get The Memo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Minneapolis boosters have been chanting, non-stop, that &#8220;crime is down in MInneapolis&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seems everyone got the memo but the criminals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Minneapolis had 4 more homicides in 2024 than in 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/uL0iK8ppLX\">https:\/\/t.co\/uL0iK8ppLX<\/a><\/p>&mdash; KARE 11 (@kare11) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kare11\/status\/1874614092981317998?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 2, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And it wasn&#8217;t just homicides &#8211; a quick look at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.minneapolismn.gov\/government\/government-data\/datasource\/crime-dashboard\/\">Minneapolis crime dashboard<\/a> (before they rolled the data over for the new year) showed:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 more non-justified homicides (Minneapolis&#8217; dashboard lumps justified police and civilian shootings together, and there was one more justifiable homicide last year than in 2023). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robberies up 10% in past year. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vandalism up 14% in year, 31% in three years. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assault has been steadily rising over past three years. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And the categories that *are* dropping are doing it <em>very<\/em> slowly.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Minneapolis boosters have been chanting, non-stop, that &#8220;crime is down in MInneapolis&#8221;.
