{"id":88571,"date":"2024-10-24T05:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-24T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=88571"},"modified":"2024-10-24T05:28:33","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T10:28:33","slug":"regular-guys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=88571","title":{"rendered":"Regular Guys"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&#8220;Why do you shooters get so anal-retentive about details?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Because when you get details wrong with a gun, people get hurt, go to jail, or both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lucas Kunce, a former Marine Jagoffosaur [1] and candidate for the US Senate against Josh Hawley, is reaching out to win over &#8220;Regular Guys&#8221;.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WIth him, he took Adam Kinzinger a bunch of union guys, and an entourage of reporters to the shooting range for some guy time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s fair to say Kunce spun the results for all he was worth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/LucasKunceMO\/status\/1848886246749184008\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A richochet clipped one of the reporters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where did they screw up?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us count the ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shooting at steel targets &#8211; at 10 yards.\u00a0 That&#8217;s pretty much guaranteed to richochet.<\/li>\n<li>Eye protection?\u00a0 Kinzinger apparently wanted to protect his hairdo.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Oh, yeah &#8211; they had a box of Tannerite on the firing line.\u00a0 If that ricochet had hit that instead of the reporter, it would have made a bigger headline than a boom.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here&#8217;s hoping that reporter&#8217;s insurance company takes Kunce to court (I have little. hope he&#8217;d do it of his own volition).<\/p>\n<p>So &#8211; how <em>is <\/em>that battle for blue-collar guys going?<br \/><br \/>[1] UPDATE:\u00a0 I&#8217;m told the title is &#8220;JAG Officer&#8221;, short for Judge Advocate General Officer, or military lawyer.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>I regret the confusion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Why do you shooters get so anal-retentive about details?&#8221; Because when you get details wrong with a gun, people get hurt, go to jail, or both.
