Look what she got done: a border invasion, runaway inflation, the American Dream dead. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/H3Oyew0ug9\">pic.twitter.com\/H3Oyew0ug9<\/a><\/p>&mdash; MAGA War Room (@MAGAIncWarRoom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MAGAIncWarRoom\/status\/1815096338335625505?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 21, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\">maybe<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 We&#8217;ll know in three-ish weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>So how does Trump react?<\/p>\n<p>My humble opinion &#8211; there&#8217;s no need to react to any of them differently, at least as individuals. they all different faces of the same machine; the same back-room figures who animated our current occupant in terms of policy will be pulling the levers and wires behind Harris, Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer.<\/p>\n<p>There was, and may remain,\u00a0 about of speculation that Tim Walz could wind up on one of the potential VP short lists.<\/p>\n<p>My fearless predication:\u00a0 if Walz oozes onto a ticket, it&#8217;ll be terrible news for Democrats, not merely because Walz is a chameleon who turns into whatever he needs to turn into for expediency&#8217;s sake &#8211; that&#8217;s no different than Harris, Newsom, Whitmer of any of them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But there are two reasons to pick a Veep candidate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shore up a key state, region or constituency<\/strong>:\u00a0 That&#8217;s why Mike Pence, George HW Bush, not to mention Biden and Harris themselves, got their nods; to shore up the POTUS candidates support respectively among evangelicals, moderates, moderates and progressives.<\/li>\n<li><strong>To serve as the President&#8217;s political enforcer\/&#8221;Bad Cop&#8221;<\/strong>:\u00a0 That was the purpose LBJ served for Kennedy, in terms of legislative support.\u00a0 I think it&#8217;s why Trump picked Vance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HarrisNewsomWhitmer need the former; <a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">current polling<\/a> shows them weak in all sorts of important states.\u00a0 Governors Josh Sharpiro (PA) and Andy Bashear (KY) could buoy a Democrat campaign&#8217;s chances in some key swing states. <\/p>\n<p>What does Walz bring?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota. <\/p>\n<p>A state the Democrats consider <em>theirs <\/em>as a birthright.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If the pick Governor Walz for Veep, that&#8217;s a sign the DNC is &#8220;breaking the glass&#8221;.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Biden is out.
