Keith Ellison is the only candidate in this race with a proven track record of tackling the most serious crimes and delivering justice for Minnesotans every single time. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/16tiRcdR7X\">pic.twitter.com\/16tiRcdR7X<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Keith for Attorney General (@EllisonCampaign) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EllisonCampaign\/status\/1574772362049949696?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 27, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It is is the most artlessly blatant campaign lie I\u2019ve ever seen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It opens with&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<em>Mike Freeman<\/em> (?!?!?) talking about the Ellison\u2019s crime-fighting chops &#8211; which is a little like getting your coaching skills recommended by Les Steckel.   The ad name-drops Freeman &#8211; without (if I recall the ad correctly) mentioning he&#8217;s the <em>Hennepin County <\/em>attorney who&#8217;s been letting robbers, carjackers and shooters go free, over and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ad claims Ellison has &#8220;&#8230;never lost a criminal prosecution&#8221; &#8211; which is true, in the sense that I didn&#8217;t f**k up my bathroom plumbing when I replaced it &#8211; <em>because I&#8217;m not a plumber, and I hired someone who was to do the job<\/em>.  Keith Ellison  contracted the job to outside counsel&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;because his next statement, &#8220;he added criminal prosecutors&#8221;, is <em>technically<\/em> true and still a lie.  The criminal division at the AGO was <em>tiny<\/em>, and is now <em>a little less tiny.<\/em>   <em>Which was why he had to farm out the Chauvin prosecution<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ellison\u2018s ad is further proof that DFLers think they can count on their voters \u2013 or swing voters \u2013 being too gullible and uncritical to look past the lies.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experience shows it&#8217;s not a bad strategery.
