{"id":8339,"date":"2010-02-02T07:57:14","date_gmt":"2010-02-02T12:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=8339"},"modified":"2010-01-31T09:57:34","modified_gmt":"2010-01-31T14:57:34","slug":"around-the-mob-eckernet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=8339","title":{"rendered":"Around The MOB: Eckernet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kevin Ecker is not one of the more obscure MOB bloggers.\u00a0 Everyone knows Kevin.\u00a0 An unapologetic paleocon, one of the founding junta at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.looktruenorth.com\"><em>True North<\/em><\/a>, Kevin is also the foremost Second Amendment blogger in the Twin Cities (although Carnivore at TvM gives us all a run for our money).\u00a0 And he&#8217;s been doing <a href=\"http:\/\/rpc.blogrolling.com\/redirect.php?r=88370d263e9f366ef8fe8ef6dd3669f0&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eckernet.com%2F\">Eckernet<\/a> for a long, long time &#8211; actually going back to February 10 of 2002, which was five days after I got started.<\/p>\n<p>Did I say <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eckernet.com\/2010\/01\/to_party_or_not_to_party.html\">unrepentant paleo<\/a>?\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 Kevin&#8217;s never been shy about mixing it up with the GOP establishment, even in his capacity as an activist:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The conservative agenda is clearly popular right now, it\u2019s a gimme for the Republicans right?? Wrong.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/general_politics\/january_2010\/75_of_gop_voters_still_think_their_legislators_out_of_touch\" target=\"_blank\">Polls show conservatives simply don\u2019t trust Republican legislators<\/a>, and they have a lot of reason to.<\/p>\n<p>But Tea Party activists have to eventually side with Republicans don\u2019t they??
