Beschloss – who’s built a bit of a career bastardizing history on behalf of Joe Biden<\/a>, and is one of the people who cheapened the value of a “blue check” to $8 – thought, last summer, at the height of the “blue counter-wave” hysteria, that last night’s election might be a parallel with the 1936 election, which FDR and his servants in the media painted as a referendum on the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\nAlthough FDR in 1936 election did not explicitly run against the Supreme Court for striking down parts of his New Deal, he interpreted his landslide re-election victory in part as the voters\u2019 rebuke to a reactionary Court that was out of the mainstream.
