This is in leafy, green, upper-middle-class, DFL-voting Nokomis.  The heart of Mayor Frey&#8217;s power base.  Just down the road, figuratively, from Lisa Bender&#8217;s privately-secured house.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim is speaking out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" style=\"border:1px solid #e6e6e6\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kare11.com\/embeds\/video\/89-a58b5a6f-2e6b-4b85-aad1-d6caa38852e2\/iframe\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"true\" mozallowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>Public Safety <em>is <\/em>a privilege &#8211; one that Lisa Bender enjoys with all the subtlety of Keith Moon at an open bar, at taxpayer&#8217;s expense, to the tune of well  into six and heading toward seven figures, if last years spend rate has kept up.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the choice facing the entire state next year; more of this, or drawing a line on the cement and say &#8220;they shall not pass&#8221;.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And make no mistake, that is the whole choice; Mayor Frey is stuck with a city council that was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=79915\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"79915\">bruised but not chastened<\/a> by the electoral results last month.  Governor Walz is a beard for the &#8220;Progressive&#8221; wing of the DFL (read: the DFL), the extremists who call all the shots in the DFL these days, without whom he will be an empty plus-size suit out of a job in 2023.  That wing thinks the disorder is a good thing.
