It&#8217;s You."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A relationship can survive anything, says Dennis Prager, except contempt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And there is a lot of contempt in our society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/poll-political-polarization-students-a31e9888-9987-4715-9a2e-b5c448ed3e5a.html?utm_campaign=organic&amp;utm_medium=socialshare&amp;utm_source=twitter\">Mostly one-way<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Nearly a quarter of college students wouldn&#8217;t be friends with someone who voted for the other presidential candidate \u2014 with Democrats far more likely to dismiss people than Republicans \u2014 according to new&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.generationlab.org\/partisanship\" target=\"_blank\">Generation Lab\/Axios polling<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"812\" height=\"312\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/hate-2021-12-08_12-10-57.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-80249\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/hate-2021-12-08_12-10-57.jpg 812w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/hate-2021-12-08_12-10-57-300x115.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/hate-2021-12-08_12-10-57-768x295.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/hate-2021-12-08_12-10-57-500x192.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 812px) 100vw, 812px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And a disturbing number of leftists don&#8217;t want to hire or employ those people, either. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s the ugly, militant side of Urban Progressive Privillege:   not only do people with UPP never need to recognize any different perspectives on life, they increasingly work to actively cleanse their echo chambers of any dissonance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You could call it <em><a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/joesquire\/2021\/12\/08\/the-democrats-have-a-hate-problem-n488216\">cultural cleansing<\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The Democrats routinely call Republicans and their activists \u201cculture warriors,\u201d but when it comes to pushing the country in a particular direction away from where it currently is, it\u2019s always the Democrats who have been at the forefront. On abortion, they have been pushing to open up the definition to make it as widely available and as routine as any other form of birth control. With social spending, they have moved to make it more and more available while lowering the requirements further and further, creating programs that are impossible to pay for.<\/p><p>On issues like education, they are tightening their control as much as possible and shutting families out, even going so far as to label concerned parents as \u201cterrorists.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A relationship can survive anything, says Dennis Prager, except contempt.
