The “Center for Independent Media” – which until recently shared office space with George Soros’ “Media Matters for America” – is setting up another paid rentablog operation in Iowa<\/a>, to “cover” the caucuses.<\/p>\n But have no fear!\u00a0 They have a code!<\/p>\n Like Minnesota Monitor and Colorado Confidential<\/a>, the Iowa site has hired a slate of New Journalism Fellows who are being trained in investigative reporting, follow a code of ethics<\/a> based on that of the Society of Professional Journalists, and are supported by journalistic mentors and editors.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n That’s right, Iowa!\u00a0 Trained investigators<\/a> with real mentors and everything!\u00a0 Who would never <\/em>hide their financial support from scrutiny to see exactly how it might affect their credibility – or, for that matter, pretend as if there’s just no rational issue<\/a>!\u00a0 Who follow the highest standards of journalism<\/a>!\u00a0 Who never <\/em>mix editorializing with reporting<\/a>!\u00a0 With editors and all!<\/p>\n Let the hackery begin!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hack partisan journalism!
