{"id":77892,"date":"2021-05-20T05:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-20T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=77892"},"modified":"2021-05-19T07:51:46","modified_gmt":"2021-05-19T12:51:46","slug":"un-minnesotan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=77892","title":{"rendered":"Un-Minnesotan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Amateurs at work in the Southeast.\u00a0 What a disgrace.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>You know that a group of hacker\/terrorists shut down an oil pipeline.\u00a0 As a result, there&#8217;s a shortage of fuel in North Carolina.\u00a0 Their Governor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/files.nc.gov\/governor\/documents\/files\/EO213-SOE-Transportation-Waivers-Pipeline.pdf\">issued an Emergency Order<\/a>\u00a0addressing the crisis to ensure everybody had enough fuel.\u00a0<\/p><p>How did he do it?\u00a0 Ban all unnecessary travel?\u00a0 Impose a state-wide curfew?\u00a0 Confiscate personally owned vehicles?\u00a0 Impose a $1,000 per gallon tax to prevent hoarding?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>No.\u00a0 He lifted the load limits on fuel trucks bringing gas into the state.\u00a0 Trucks can run heavier and haul more fuel during the emergency.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>He didn&#8217;t punish his citizens at all &#8211; what on Earth was he thinking?\u00a0 Can you imagine Governor Walz missing an opportunity like that?\u00a0 Unbelievable.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Joe Doakes<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Depriving &#8220;Big Karen&#8221; of the prerogative to chant &#8220;we&#8217;re all in this together&#8221;, with &#8220;this&#8221; meaning &#8220;some petty hardship foisted on us all, involving a set of rules of which I, Big Karen, am the custodian?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can I imagine Walz doing it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s that, Joe?
