I&#8217;ve always done my best to treat them with compassion and respect, the way we&#8217;re supposed to treat human beings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That part is not open for debate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there <em>are <\/em>a few points open for legitimate debate &#8211; and the reason we know this is that the trans &#8220;movement&#8221; &#8211; I&#8217;ll just call it Big Trans from now on &#8211; works so very hard to suppress that debate.  In my forays into looking into how Big Trans behaves on social media, I&#8217;ve found no group able to mobilize so much frothing ire so fast &#8211; not union goons, not Big Karen, nobody.   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/sport\/514554-aclu-transgender-athletes-myths\/\">Their &#8220;allies&#8221; certainly pull their weight<\/a> in trying to shut down the conversation as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, there&#8217;s a backlash &#8211; some parents of putatively trans children are pushing back against the logrolling disguised as &#8220;support&#8221; that their children, often deeply vulnerable, receive<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/quillette.com\/2021\/04\/02\/when-sons-become-daughters-parents-of-transitioning-boys-speak-out-on-their-own-suffering\/\">This piece &#8211; first of a four-part investigation<\/a> &#8211; is very long, and so far utterly worth a read.  <\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve got a few friends who could qualify as &#8220;transgender&#8221;.
