Our class war (the race war is really a class war) is beyond satire.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Case in point:   even though we know the Atlanta shootings last week we<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/crime\/atlanta-shooting-suspect-tells-police-attacks-not-racially-motivated-was-purportedly-driven-by-sex-addiction\/ar-BB1eGFtr\">re not motivated by anti-asian hate<\/a>, the media <a href=\"https:\/\/kstp.com\/national\/spa-shootings-could-be-first-test-of-georgia-hate-crimes-law\/6048947\/?cat=12678\">is still playing it<\/a> as an anti-Asian grievance, at best &#8211; and at worst, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/lifestyle\/media\/media-police-statements-atlanta-spa-shootings-jay-baker\/2021\/03\/18\/83f1b438-87ec-11eb-8a8b-5cf82c3dffe4_story.html\">media&#8217;s grievance pimps seem to be actively wishing <\/a>yet another racial fault line into being. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;and writing Bonfire of the Vanities, the classic satire on late-eighties class and race relations, I&#8217;m fairly sure he&#8217;d move on and pick another topic.
