I drove past a Eagan Outlet mall &#8211; a clump of national big box outlet stores.<\/p><p>He was the parking lot:<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1281-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-75974\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1281-scaled.jpg 2560w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1281-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1281-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1281-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1281-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1281-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1281-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><p>Seems an off a lot of people are, indeed, \u201cin it together\u201d, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p><p><\/p><p>Then, I turned around and took a look at Jensen\u2019s supper club &#8211; a locally run, one of a kind small family run business that is an Eagan institution, as well as being perennially besieged by the ever expanding vagaries of Minnesota\u2019s regulatory state and tax regime.<\/p><p><\/p><p>Here it was:<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1283-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-75973\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1283-scaled.jpg 2560w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1283-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1283-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1283-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1283-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1283-2048x1536.jpg 2048w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_1283-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A sign on the door hopefully suggests \u201ccurbside pick up available\u201c.  <p>Normally at 3o\u2019clock on a Saturday afternoon during the weekend after Thanksgiving &#8211; one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year under normal circumstances, and clearly a day seeing quite a bit of traffic at the state sanctioned \u201cessential\u201c businesses across the street &#8211; there would be more than a few cars in the parking lot, with people grabbing dinner and or a cocktail or three after a day of dealing with the madding crowd. <\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Science.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cScience\u201d, Minnesota Style Governor Klink reminds us \u201cwe are all in it together\u201c.
