{"id":75563,"date":"2020-10-13T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-10-13T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=75563"},"modified":"2020-10-11T10:15:35","modified_gmt":"2020-10-11T15:15:35","slug":"once-bitten","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=75563","title":{"rendered":"Once Bitten"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A majority of Americans are not only worried about violence after the election &#8211; they&#8217;re doing something about it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>When asked about just what sort of violence they expected to see, those polled\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/datastudio.google.com\/embed\/reporting\/e9be9d87-34a6-45c9-b1a0-99c87d82596b\/page\/9shiB\" target=\"_blank\">responded<\/a>\u00a0with \u201criots,\u201d \u201clooting,\u201d \u201cburning\u201d as some of their predictions. \u201cTrashing of cities\u201d was another response.<\/p><p>The YouGov\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/braverangels.org\/yougov-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\">poll<\/a>\u00a0was completed between October 1 \u2013 2, 2020 and used\u00a01,503 respondents.<\/p><p>It followed another poll\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/engagious.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Back-to-Normal-10.1.20-FINAL.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">released<\/a>\u00a0October 1 that found\u00a061 percent of Americans agree with the concern the U.S. could be on the verge of another Civil War.<\/p><p>Additionally, 52 percent of consumers have also stockpiled food or essential goods in anticipation of social unrest tied to a resurgence of coronavirus in the coming months and\/ or the election.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Unmentioned &#8211; they&#8217;re also gunning up numbers that crush all previous records.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This <em>could <\/em>be good news for conservatism in the long run; genuinely self-reliant people tend not to vote &#8220;progressive&#8221;.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Provided the GOP doesn&#8217;t screw it up&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;oh.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smoke &#8217;em if you got &#8217;em. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A majority of Americans are not only worried about violence after the election &#8211; they&#8217;re doing something about it: When asked about just what sort of violence they expected to see, those polled\u00a0responded\u00a0with \u201criots,\u201d \u201clooting,\u201d \u201cburning\u201d as some of their predictions. \u201cTrashing of cities\u201d was another response.
