{"id":73288,"date":"2020-02-13T11:18:32","date_gmt":"2020-02-13T17:18:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=73288"},"modified":"2020-02-13T06:26:50","modified_gmt":"2020-02-13T12:26:50","slug":"more-faster-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=73288","title":{"rendered":"More, Faster"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Roseau County <a href=\"https:\/\/www.postbulletin.com\/news\/state\/roseau-county-designated-minnesota-s-first-second-amendment-sanctuary-county\/article_0a4d8e30-4e0a-11ea-bd5a-0fb6dd370c76.html\">becomes Minnesota&#8217;s first Second Amendment Sanctuary County<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The resolution, passed unanimously to applause from the dozen residents in attendance, reads that the board \u201cwishes to express opposition to any law in the future, beyond existing laws to date, that would unconstitutionally restrict the rights of the citizens of Roseau County to keep and bear arms.\u201d<br>The motion goes on to resolve that \u201cpublic funds of the county not be used to restrict the Second Amendment rights of the citizens of Roseau County, or to aid federal or state agencies in the restriction of said rights.\u201d<br>Roseau County Sheriff Steve Gust said the resolution won\u2019t change local law enforcement\u2019s operations, since one of the resolution\u2019s main intents is to oppose \u201cred flag\u201d gun laws, which allow courts to temporarily remove guns from people who are found to be a risk to themselves or others. Red flag laws have been proposed in Minnesota but not passed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Look for more of this in Greater Minnesota in coming months.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the measures are mostly symbolic &#8211; for now &#8211; they do show gun voters statewide the seriousness of the choices in this upcoming election.
