Ivy League academic, continuing Big Left’s urge to appropriate and pervert every aspect of society no matter how innocuous or innocent, progsplains that the classic claymation Christmas special <\/a>Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer<\/a><\/em> is actually classically “queer”<\/a>, and that conservatives who object just don’t understand Christmas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is a \u201cqueer\u201d icon whether \u201cconservatives\u201d like it or not, according to one Ivy League professor.
Columbia University English professor Jennifer Finney Boylan<\/a>, has offered a whole new take on the classic Christmas claymation “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” claiming that the film is \u201cthe queerest holiday special ever\u201d in a recent New York Times<\/em>opinion piece.<\/a>

Boylan began a gender transition to live as a woman at the age of 42. In her article, she compares her life experience to the Christmas classic, saying, \u201cthe subtext of this ridiculous story was the truth of my own improbable life. A fabulously blond elf who doesn\u2019t like to make toys? A reindeer who is cast out by those who are supposed to love him, on account of an accident of birth?\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Of course <\/em>“she” did. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those moments when Avery Librelle seems just too realistic…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But forget what you know, because progsplain. Also shut up hater. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boylan notes that she expects \u201cconservatives\u201d to be \u201cinfuriated by this suggestion,\u201d adding that \u201cconservatives seem to miss the point of a lot of things having to do with Christmas.\u201d This supposedly includes that Charles Dickens\u2019 \u2018A Christmas\u2019 employs a \u201cfundamental critique of capitalism\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
