{"id":72791,"date":"2019-12-10T07:09:23","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T13:09:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=72791"},"modified":"2019-12-10T07:09:23","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T13:09:23","slug":"cultural-cleansing-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=72791","title":{"rendered":"Cultural Cleansing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&#8220;Progressive&#8221; bosses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/washington-secrets\/job-discrimination-1-in-5-wont-hire-trump-supporters\">won&#8217;t hire Trump supporters<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>It\u2019s not legal in most cases, and certainly not right, but 1 in 5 left-leaning bosses \u201cwill not hire\u201d supporters of President Trump, and huge majorities of hiring managers want to know the positions job candidates have on highly controversial issues including race and immigration, according to a sweeping new survey.<br>What\u2019s more, job seekers reluctant to cough up their views and positions in interviews can\u2019t hide them because nearly all employers sift through social media posts, mostly Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, of those they are considering for jobs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, I didn&#8217;t vote for Trump, and I&#8217;ve certainly made my Trump-skepticism a matter of public record &#8211; but I&#8217;ve run into this, and in fact it&#8217;s not just Trump.  Some &#8220;progressive&#8221; management practice cultural cleansing of all Republican and conservative thought their offices.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I pretty strenuously keep my political beliefs, this blog, and my show out of the workplace &#8211; eschewing political conversations even among friends.
