Single.\u00a0 &#8220;Available&#8221; is such a loaded term.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>B- Best Friend. Not counting guitars (my old Ventura acoustic and my 1960 Fender Jazzmaster), there&#8217;s a couple of guys going back 10-30 years who&#8217;d qualify.<\/li>\n<li>C- Cake or Pie.\u00a0 Not just <em>any <\/em>pie, of course &#8211; lemon meringue and key lime would be the, er, cream of the crop.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>D- Drink of Choice. Tossup &#8211; limeade, Smithwick&#8217;s Ale, or pineapple juice.<\/li>\n<li>E- Essential Item. Laptop?\u00a0 Guitars?\u00a0 One of those, probably.<\/li>\n<li>F- Favorite Color. Green<\/li>\n<li>G- Gummi Bears or Worms. Both of them are loathsome.<\/li>\n<li>H- Hometown. If you&#8217;ve read the blog at all, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jamestown,_North_Dakota\">you know<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>I- Indulgence. On Sundays when I don&#8217;t have the kids, going to some out-of-the-way place and having lunch and reading a book with nobody telling me where to go or what to do.<\/li>\n<li>J- January or February. February.\u00a0 January starts with a hangover (even if it&#8217;s not a literal one for me, it&#8217;s a figurative one) and ends in the middle of winter.\u00a0 February is short and ends with March, which, as much as I love winter, is where you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.<\/li>\n<li>K- Kids. Bun and Zam.\u00a0 15 and 14.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>L- Life is incomplete without\u2026 Friends, family, music, great conversation, good food.<\/li>\n<li>M- Marriage Date. Beta version: October 13, 1990.\u00a0 Final release:\u00a0 TBD, no real rush to schedule it.<\/li>\n<li>N- Number of Siblings? Two &#8211; Barb in Billings, Jim in Minneapolis.\u00a0 Plus three (I think) stepsiblings that I&#8217;ve never knowingly met.<\/li>\n<li>O- Oranges or Apples? Apples by a nod.\u00a0 All kinds, especially Mutsus (if I can find &#8217;em).<\/li>\n<li>P- Phobias\/Fears.\u00a0No big ones.\u00a0 I get motion sickness on fairground rides much more violent than the bumper cars, but that&#8217;s not &#8220;phobia&#8221; so much as &#8220;I hate violent motion that I don&#8217;t control&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Q- Favorite Quote. So many.\u00a0 &#8220;Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;I offer only blood, sweat, toil and tears&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;Your job isn&#8217;t to die for your country.\u00a0 Your job is to make the other poor, dumb sonofabitch die for <em>his <\/em>country&#8221;.\u00a0 &#8220;I&#8217;m not a liberal, so I&#8217;m not an expert at things I know nothing about&#8221;.\u00a0 &#8220;Whoever said &#8216;the pen is mightier than the sword&#8217; never had to bet his life on it&#8221;.\u00a0 &#8220;Who dares wins&#8221;.\u00a0 &#8220;I&#8217;m not a vegetarian because I love animals; I&#8217;m a vegetarian because I hate plants&#8221;.\u00a0 Dozens more.<\/li>\n<li>R- Reasons to smile. Health, springtime, great job, kids are coming along nicely &#8211; too many to list, although it helps to force myself to do it anyway.<\/li>\n<li>S- Season. I like &#8217;em all, except for the dog days of summer.\u00a0 Early winter is probably my favorite.<\/li>\n<li>T- Tag Three. Nah.<\/li>\n<li>U- Unknown Fact About Me. I&#8217;d like to keep it that way.<\/li>\n<li>V \u2013 Vegetarian or Oppressor of Animals. Oppressor &#8211; but less so every year.<\/li>\n<li>W- Worst Habit. I worry too much.<\/li>\n<li>X \u2013 X-rays or Ultrasounds. Whatever it takes.<\/li>\n<li>Y- Your Favorite Foods. The more ethnic, the better. Crazy about Mexican, Russian, Turkish, Greek, Lebanese (all the mediterranean\/middle eastern stuff), Korean, Vietnamese, you name it.<\/li>\n<li>Z- Zodiac.
