{"id":71,"date":"2006-11-15T06:08:34","date_gmt":"2006-11-15T12:08:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shotinthedark.info\/wp\/index.php\/2006\/11\/15\/more-talk\/"},"modified":"2006-11-15T07:13:09","modified_gmt":"2006-11-15T13:13:09","slug":"more-talk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=71","title":{"rendered":"More Talk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DFL governor Tim Pawlenty took advantage of the post-election hangover to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/587\/story\/811211.html\">recite a list of DFL talking points<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We all, I think, can chart a path toward universal coverage,&#8221; he said in a luncheon speech to a health reform conference in Minneapolis. &#8220;We&#8217;re going to have to move in stages. &#8230; We should start with covering all kids.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pawlenty also peppered his remarks with broad criticism of the nation&#8217;s current &#8220;tattered, outdated, inefficient&#8221; health care system and hard shots at health maintenance organizations (HMOs), prescription drug advertising and political meddling in health policy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The DFL continues its drive to make heatlhcare unaffordable to anyone except via the good graces of government.<\/p>\n<p>As Scott Johnson <a href=\"http:\/\/powerlineblog.com\/archives\/015916.php\">says<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>So much is wrong with this propositon. I recoil from the arrogance of such instruction from public servants who have forgotten their jobs.
