{"id":70077,"date":"2019-03-04T07:28:33","date_gmt":"2019-03-04T13:28:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=70077"},"modified":"2019-03-04T07:28:33","modified_gmt":"2019-03-04T13:28:33","slug":"fore-informed-is-forearmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=70077","title":{"rendered":"Fore-Informed Is Forearmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Most of you know this already.\u00a0 Perhaps a few of it have heard it but don&#8217;t believe it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But since Big Left and its subsidiary, the DFL, is busy trying to roll back the 2nd Amendment in Minnesota &#8211; with hearings coming up Wednesday in the Judiciary &#8220;Division&#8221; &#8211; it&#8217;s worth reinforcing the point for those who don&#8217;t know the facts:<\/p>\n<p>The armed citizen is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.concealedcarry.com\/news\/armed-citizens-are-successful-95-of-the-time-at-active-shooter-events-fbi\/\">overwhelmingly successful in ending or reducing the death toll in active shooter situations<\/a> , over 90% of the time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>So the below graphic does just that. Of all the active shooter events there were 33 at which an armed citizen was present. Of those, Armed Citizens were successful at stopping the Active shooter 75.8% of the time (25 incidents) and were successful in reducing the loss of life in an additional 18.2% (6) of incidents.
