If you’ve been reading this blog any length of time, you’ll know that I tend to bite off…well, not “more than I can chew”, but occasionally I’ll tackle some big, involved projects.\u00a0 My “Losing My State Religion<\/a>” series – on my journey from public school supporter to fierce critic – was nine parts; my “What The Hell Is Wrong With The MNGOP” and “What The Hell Do We Do About The MNGOP” series are almost a dozen parts between ’em<\/a>.\u00a0 And the big daddy of ’em all, “Twenty Years Ago Today<\/a>“, is somewhere north of 120 episodes (and four years plus) long.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What makes it interesting is that I do pretty much all of the writing for this blog between 5:30 and 7AM, every morning, along with the odd scraps of time when things settle down in the evening or when there’s nothing going on on the weekend.\u00a0 If I’m trying to do any reporting – calling sources, interviewing people – I squeeze that into breaks during my day job.\u00a0 Until all those Scaifenet rumors come true, and some conservative sugardaddy whisks this blog away to full-time gig status, them’s the breaks.<\/p>\n

Anyway – my megalomania has led me into a situation where I’ve got two <\/em>of those series – “De Godenfar<\/em> – The Norwegian Mob in America” and “Unintended Consequences, Predictable Responses” – going simultaneously.\u00a0 Both of ’em take some work – “Investigative Fiction” and reporting are different, but neither of ’em grows on trees, time-wise.<\/p>\n

And I promised new installments of both today.\u00a0 And it just ain’t gonna happen.<\/p>\n

So here’s the schedule for the rest of the week:<\/p>\n
