{"id":69670,"date":"2019-01-09T08:00:34","date_gmt":"2019-01-09T14:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=69670"},"modified":"2019-05-21T06:55:06","modified_gmt":"2019-05-21T11:55:06","slug":"unexpectedly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=69670","title":{"rendered":"Unexpectedly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After eight years of DFL-led bureaucratic governance and repeated ta hikes, the city of\u00a0 Luverne was <a href=\"http:\/\/strib.mn\/2shUGgc\">shocked, <em>shocked<\/em>, to find that a company decided to ditch a deal and move their expansion to South Dakota<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Text_Body\">With groundbreaking expected this summer at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/schwan-s-invests-in-large-scale-shrimp-operation-among-minnesota-corn-fields\/440390603\/\">the Luverne site<\/a>, Tru Shrimp executives said they recently discovered a state environmental rule about water discharge that could delay construction of the facility, which it calls a harbor, by one to three years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text_Body\">\u201cOur timeline is to build a harbor in 2019,\u201d Michael Ziebell, chief executive of Tru Shrimp, said in an interview Tuesday. With investors\u2019 money on the line, the company couldn\u2019t afford to wait for the discharge issue to be resolved, he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Unexpectedly!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Text_Body\">The board of the Balaton, Minn.-based firm in November gave final approval for the $45 million facility on 67 acres just outside Luverne.
