{"id":68738,"date":"2018-12-11T11:00:08","date_gmt":"2018-12-11T17:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=68738"},"modified":"2018-12-09T17:14:27","modified_gmt":"2018-12-09T23:14:27","slug":"disparity-of-power","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=68738","title":{"rendered":"Disparity Of Power"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Feminists have spent the last forty years convincing men thatn &#8220;no means no&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>So far so good.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;ve spent a chunk of the last fifteen convincing first universities, then courts, that a &#8220;no&#8221;, even one applied retroactively and contradictorily, hours or days or months after the fact, really meant &#8220;no&#8221; even if it was an explicit &#8220;Yes&#8221; in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>Feminist dogma has it than men are stupid &#8211; but some have developed a sense of self-preservation, and are starting to get affirmative consent <em>on video\u00a0<\/em>immediately before, er, doing something that needs consent.<\/p>\n<p>And, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/39062\/fearing-false-accusation-men-are-now-asking-women-amanda-prestigiacomo\">predictdably, feminists are bunged about that, too:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[Feminists] are not pleased with the idea of consent videos and their &#8220;problematic&#8221; ramifications.<\/p>\n<p>In the case with [a woman complaining about the videos, idiot Brit feminist writer Rachel King] complains that the &#8220;implication&#8221; of a consent video &#8220;is that those in a position of power are the ones who need protection, and that\u2019s just not true.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I try to be polite.\u00a0 I really do.\u00a0 And I try to treat people they way I&#8217;d like to be treated.<\/p>\n<p>Which is how I rationalize the following &#8211; because if I were being a complete dumbass like Rachel King, I&#8217;d hope someone pointed it out to me.<\/p>\n<p>Rachel.\u00a0 Dumbass.\u00a0\u00a0<em>Men don&#8217;t have the power<\/em>.\u00a0 \u00a0When a woman has the ability to ruin a man&#8217;s life over a false, flighty or stretchy accusation, the idea of &#8220;male power&#8221; is as quaint as an episode of &#8220;Leave It To Beaver&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>King, who mocked that &#8220;it&#8217;s apparently &#8216;a scary time for young men,'&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>(Love the patrohization, Rachel.\u00a0 Also &#8211; eat s**t and die a painful death)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>also emphasized that false accusations just don&#8217;t happen,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Duke.\u00a0 Virginia Tech.\u00a0 Every f****ng word out of Lena Dunham&#8217;s mouth.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>pointing to a popularized hashtag on Twitter as evidence. &#8220;In reality, the vitriol that victims of rape and sexual assault are subject to is enough to put anyone off making a false report.
