{"id":68199,"date":"2018-10-10T06:51:35","date_gmt":"2018-10-10T11:51:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=68199"},"modified":"2018-10-10T06:51:39","modified_gmt":"2018-10-10T11:51:39","slug":"stuck-on-stupid-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=68199","title":{"rendered":"Stuck On Stupid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Rhode Island state &#8220;gun violence task force&#8221;has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.providencejournal.com\/news\/20181004\/ri-gun-safety-task-force-releases-final-recommendations\">released its recommendations for what to &#8220;do&#8221; about &#8220;gun violence<\/a>&#8220;:<\/p>\n<p>Sounds familiar?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>They include: a ban on ammunition feeding devices \u2014 known as magazines \u2014 with a capacity of more than 10 rounds, prohibiting the concealed carry of firearms on school grounds and within 1,000 feet of elementary or secondary schools and in government buildings, and raising the age to buy a \u201clong gun\u201d from 18 to 21, where it already stands for handguns.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>The group stopped short, however, of backing a ban on military-style assault weapons<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>, opting to call instead for a new requirement that they be registered with a state or local law enforcement agency.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Isn&#8217;t it strange?
