{"id":64677,"date":"2017-10-02T16:30:11","date_gmt":"2017-10-02T21:30:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=64677"},"modified":"2020-07-30T10:05:45","modified_gmt":"2020-07-30T15:05:45","slug":"voice-of-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=64677","title":{"rendered":"Voice Of America"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Berg&#8217;s 18th Law is still in effect; we don&#8217;t know what motivated the Vegas shooter.<\/p>\n<p>But I take heart from this, a guy I&#8217;m proud to call a real American hero:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/BIrdman.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-64681 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/BIrdman.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"339\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mandalay Bay <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2017\/10\/update-route-91-harvest-festival-las-vegas-gun-free-zone\/\">being a gun free zone\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0(and at 400 yards, firing back with a handgun would have been a triumph of optimism over feasibility), the man fought back with the only weapon allowed him, his middle finger &#8211; which, were the First Amendment all one needed to protect freedom, would be a fearsome weapon, and was, as it happens the best he could do under the circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>There were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2017\/10\/update-route-91-harvest-festival-las-vegas-gun-free-zone\/\">apparently many heroes last night.\u00a0\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>God bless &#8217;em all.<\/p>\n<p>More tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Berg&#8217;s 18th Law is still in effect; we don&#8217;t know what motivated the Vegas shooter.
