One of my great inspirations has to be Tony Snow.<\/p>\n
Two years ago, he came down with colon cancer.\u00a0 Like a lot of people (of all political walks), I sent him a “get well soon” email; I’ve long respected Snow’s chops as a radio guy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
His email in response was truly a gift of insight into dealing with difficult times.\u00a0 I’ll find it and share it one of these days, if it survived the last couple of system crashes.<\/p>\n
It’s a shock to see he’s apparently going back for more surgery<\/a>, to remove another abominable abdominal growth.<\/p>\n And it’s good to see that good people still know what comes first:<\/p>\n “The biggest problem you have sometimes with cancer is flat-out fear,” Snow said. “When you see an Elizabeth Edwards saying, ‘I’m going to embrace life and I’m going to move forward,’ that is a wonderful thing.”<\/p>\n After hearing the news, John and Elizabeth Edwards called Snow, during a refueling stop on their way to Los Angeles, to express their support and concern, said Edwards adviser Jennifer Palmieri.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Snow’s news is by no means necessarily bad – they don’t know it’s a relapse\u00a0– but please keep him and his family alongside the Edwardses in your prayers, wishes or what have you.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Of course, the Edwardses – for all I disagree with their politics – have more class in their pinkie fingers than do some of their supporters<\/a>, expressing their wishes for Snow over at the Huffpo, for whom prayers of a different sort might be in order:<\/p>\n \u201cSure holding all that bulls**t in your gut would make anybody sick..!\u201d<\/p>\n – \u201cThe growth in his abdomen is his head stuck up his a**. F**k him!! He is pure lying scum and should die ASAP!!\u201d<\/p>\n – \u201cYou can only swallow so much…………can you say karma……………..\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n And some of my favorites:<\/p>\n We wouldn’t want Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh to express outrage for us huffposters saying something mean about Tony.<\/p>\n Just kidding….Tony Snow is giving birth to Dick Cheney’s alien-baby as we speak!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n To be fair, it’s not all bile:<\/p>\n\n
