{"id":61529,"date":"2016-12-26T12:48:58","date_gmt":"2016-12-26T18:48:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=61529"},"modified":"2016-12-26T12:49:42","modified_gmt":"2016-12-26T18:49:42","slug":"gotta-move-fast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=61529","title":{"rendered":"Gotta Move Fast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My piece earlier this noon hour, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=61484\">about the complete collapse of Jessica Chastain&#8217;s anti-2nd-Amendment melodrama\u00a0<em>Miss Sloane<\/em><\/a>, reminds me of a problem that&#8217;s emerged this past year.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sloane<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=56230\">\u00a0<\/a>was the second movie in the past 12 months involving an issue in which I&#8217;m fairly intimately involved, and that I&#8217;ve actually wanted to go to a theater to see (the other <em>\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=56230\">was the hilariously-mistitled Truth<\/a><em>, <\/em>which passed unlamented by anyone but the left&#8217;s movie critics in the winter of 2015), albeit only at a second-run theater like the Riverview; I&#8217;m not gonna give Hollywood the satisfaction of paying full price to watch its propaganda.<\/p>\n<p>Either, it seems, did anyone else. \u00a0Both movies disappeared from box offices faster than the Vikings left the playoff race.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;problem&#8221;? \u00a0They leave the theaters before I can get around to going to review them.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a smile problem, in the great scheme of things, but still.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My piece earlier this noon hour, about the complete collapse of Jessica Chastain&#8217;s anti-2nd-Amendment melodrama\u00a0Miss Sloane, reminds me of a problem that&#8217;s emerged this past year.
