\nMy Facebook friends are still losing it about Trump.\u00a0 Now the persistent theme is that his Cabinet appointments are rich people who know nothing about their departments; or worse, they do know something but it\u2019s the wrong thing.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>The woman appointed as Secretary of Education sent her kids to private school.\u00a0 So that means she knows nothing about public schools?\u00a0 No, dummy, it means she could see what a complete disaster public schools are so she pulled her kids out to give them a chance at a decent education.\u00a0 She\u2019s taken the top education job to try to reform public education into what private education already is.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>The guy in charge of the Labor Department opposes the minimum wage.\u00a0 Yeah, him and every other competent economist.\u00a0 So what\u2019s your complaint: he has a brain and isn\u2019t afraid to use it?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>The Marine we just put in charge of the military isn\u2019t sensitive, he\u2019s confrontational. \u00a0Oh for crying out loud, confrontation is the whole point of a War Department. \u00a0Those aren\u2019t all \u201cparticipation ribbons\u201d on his chest: at least one is an award for heroic bravery in combat.\u00a0 That\u2019s the kind of leadership the military desperately needs nowadays.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>For all the whining and complaining, nitpicking and second-guessing, the issue still comes down to the same issue that decided the election.\u00a0 Is he Hillary yet?\u00a0 No?\u00a0 Still not Hillary?\u00a0 Okay, good to go.\u00a0 Carry on.<\/span><\/p>\n
