When a Liberal says \u201cJoe Doakes is a racist,\u201d I suspect other Liberals hear \u201cJoe Doakes is dangerous.\u201d\u00a0 That triggers a fight-or-flight response.\u00a0 The listening Liberals know they should shun me \u2013 at a minimum \u2013 and fight me if they can do it from a place of safety.\u00a0 Thus, we get unfriended on Facebook, one-star Amazon reviews, one-star Yelp reviews and secondary boycotts to pressure employers to fire the accused.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>When a Liberal says \u201cJoe Doakes is a racist,\u201d I suspect Conservatives hear \u201cJoe Doakes is a poopy-head.\u201d\u00a0 That triggers a scornful response. \u00a0\u00a0The listening Conservatives know they should ignore the Liberals \u2013 at a minimum \u2013 and actively support me, even if it brings Liberal wrath down on them, too.\u00a0 Thus we get Trump\u2019s cabinet nominations.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>This may be the new litmus test.\u00a0 When a politician hears someone called \u201cracist,\u201d watch how they react.\u00a0 If they react like Liberals, then they are Liberals at heart, regardless of which party affiliation they wear at the moment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>When everyone is a racist, no one is a racist.\u00a0 The term as no longer has an agreed-upon meaning.\u00a0 Does this mean I hate Black people and want them to die?\u00a0 No, it means the word is worn out from overuse.\u00a0 Find another word.<\/span><\/p>\n
