POLLSTER: \u00a0Hello. \u00a0I’m Kandi, a pollster working on a combined study commissioned by Harvard University, Northeastern University, the Trace and the Guardian, four organizations dedicated to disarming Americans by any means, fair or foul. \u00a0If you have a few moments to spare, I’d like to ask you some questions about gun ownership.<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Go ahead.<\/p>\n

POLLSTER: \u00a0 How many guns do you own?<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0How many guns am I going to admit I own to an anonymyous rep for\u00a0\u00a0four organizations that are dedicated to ensuring that Americans are disarmed, docile sheep,?<\/p>\n

POLLSTER: \u00a0 That’s correct!<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0None! \u00a0Guns are scary!<\/p>\n

POLLSTER: \u00a0So that’s no guns, then?<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0As far as you know.<\/p>\n

POLLSTER: \u00a0Wow. It’s amazing how the number of gun owners is dropping<\/a>, according to our Fact-Based Research \u00ae.<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0It is, isn’t it? \u00a0Absolutely astounding.<\/p>\n

SURVEY: \u00a0We’re also finding three percent of American adults own 50% of the guns!<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Huh. \u00a0I’m also gonna guess 3% of American adults own 50% of the iPhone 7s, and roughly .000001 of all Americans own 90% of all newspapers.<\/p>\n

SURVEY: \u00a0No comment!<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Naturally.<\/p>\n

SURVEY: \u00a0Now, if you\u00a0did\u00a0<\/em>buy a gun, why would you buy one? \u00a0Are you a hunter, a target shooter, or would you buy a gun due to fear?<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0If I\u00a0did\u00a0<\/em>have a gun, which I don’t, as I already told you, it’d be for self-defense.<\/p>\n

POLLSTER: \u00a0OK. \u00a0“Fear”.<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0No, self-defense. \u00a0A prudent response to the vicissitudes of human nature.<\/p>\n

POLLSTER: \u00a0Right. \u00a0Fear.<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Nope. \u00a0A rational, prudent assessment of and response to life’s actual risks, based on data, ability and experience.<\/p>\n

POLLSTER: \u00a0Right. \u00a0We call that “fear”. \u00a0It’s just a category.<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Naturally. \u00a0Hey, someone’s calling…<\/p>\n

POLLSTER: \u00a0I didn’t hear a click…<\/p>\n
