\u00a0<\/span>Because Patty Wetterling was connected. And she\u2019s stayed connected \u2013 and in the spotlight \u2013 for all these years.\u00a0 Now we\u2019re supposed to leave our porch lights on for he<\/a><\/span>r<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>She suffered a terrible loss, no doubt about it.\u00a0 But what about all the other moms who didn\u2019t get celebrity media treatment?\u00a0 100 kids a year go missing in stranger abductions.\u00a0 They don\u2019t have foundations.\u00a0 They don\u2019t have media coverage. \u00a0They\u2019re not connected.\u00a0 Nobody remembers them.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>I\u2019m not objecting to the compassion shown to Patty Wetterling.\u00a0 I\u2019m objecting to the lack of compassion shown to everybody else who isn\u2019t as politically connected. \u00a0Once again, there are rules for politically connected Democrats, and different rules for the rest of us. \u00a0That\u2019s awful.<\/span><\/p>\n
