Do you remember when the left and mainstream media tried to tie Sarah Palin to Jared Loughner’s spree killing in Tuscon, which wounded Gabby Gifford (and killed a bunch of people the media don’t care about) because she’d\u00a0completely innocently\u00a0used “crosshairs” on a map?<\/p>\n

Of course you do.<\/p>\n

Do you remember when Al Sharpton told people to kill cops<\/a>\u00a0in as many words?<\/p>\n

Speaking of memory holes: \u00a0it’s been five days since the slaughter in Dallas. \u00a0By this point in most recent mass-killings, we has a lot of detail about the killers; Holmes, Mateen,\u00a0Loughner, Lanza, Harris and Klebold, Cho, even Hassan. \u00a0 And we’d had\u00a0detailed\u00a0<\/em>dissections of the firearms they’d used – because those were the real enemies, natch.<\/p>\n

And yet a cursory examination shows very little interest, it seems, in Micah Jackson’s past, and very little scrutiny about his SKS rifle.<\/p>\n

We don’t know the details, and that means you or me. \u00a0But if someone wanted to bet me $100 that the silence was because Jackson was a known “progressive” activist, and the SKS was an utterly unmodified, thoroughly plain-jane rifle, I wouldn’t take the bet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
