{"id":58584,"date":"2016-04-28T05:00:18","date_gmt":"2016-04-28T10:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=58584"},"modified":"2016-04-27T11:33:51","modified_gmt":"2016-04-27T16:33:51","slug":"new-frontiers-in-social-justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=58584","title":{"rendered":"New Frontiers In Social Justice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In 2013, the St. Paul YMCA instituted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/st-paul-ymca-and-police-start-somali-girls-swim-group\/232082231\/\"><span class=\"s2\">separate swim hours for Muslim girls<\/span><\/a> so they could change into swimsuits and swim in the pool without breaking Sharia law by revealing too much skin to men.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">On April 19, 2016, the 4<\/span><span class=\"s3\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> Circuit Court of Appeals held that Title IX requires high schools which receive federal money <\/span><span class=\"s4\">to<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> allow students to use the high school bathroom that corresponds to their <a href=\"http:\/\/apps.washingtonpost.com\/g\/documents\/local\/court-opinion-4th-circuit-sides-with-transgender-high-school-student-suing-school-board-for-access-to-boys-bathroom\/1960\/\"><span class=\"s2\">gender identit<\/span><span class=\"s5\">y<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> instead of their biological sex<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 Males can use the Female\u2019s bathroom if they claim to be transgender \u2013 no proof required.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Responding instantly to the shift in societal wind, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/target-says-transgender-people-can-use-bathroom-that-aligns-with-their-identity\/376256911\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Target changed its bathroom policy<\/span><\/a>: shoppers can use the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity instead of their biological sex.\u00a0 Target receives no federal money, it\u2019s simply adapting to the shuffle in Liberal Victim Hierarchy: Trans trumps Woman.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">What I want to know is: how come the Y still offers separate swim hours for girls?\u00a0 When will they change their policy so perverts can lurk in the locker room to watch the girls change into their swimsuits?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">How come the Y is such a bunch of haters?\u00a0 Shouldn\u2019t we organize a boycott?\u00a0 No, wait, a girl-cott?\u00a0 A perv-cott?\u00a0 Or maybe a trans-cott?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Joe Doakes<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">We&#8217;ll have to wait until someone &#8220;identifies&#8221;
