The most famous American Black Man\u2019s Dream was, of course, brilliantly articulated by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who said:<\/p>\n
\u201cI say to you today, my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow<\/span>, I still have a dream.\u00a0 It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.\u00a0 I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up, live out the true meaning of its creed: \u2018We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal\u2019. . . I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.\u201d<\/p>\n
Look at the headlines:\u00a0 can any Black civil rights \u201cleader\u201d honestly claim to share Dr. King\u2019s dream?\u00a0 Does any politician?\u00a0 Hollywood?\u00a0 The Media?\u00a0 Or isn\u2019t it more likely \u201cBlack Lives Matter\u201d would find his dream to be patronizing, judge his goals too modest?\u00a0 Wouldn\u2019t Al Sharpton still insist on a Token Black in the Academy Awards? \u00a0Wouldn\u2019t Democrat staffers lump Dr. King with Dr. Carson as Oreos, Uncle Toms, House Negros, wanting to act White?<\/p>\n
Modern White Americans proved they have embraced Dr. King\u2019s dream by electing a Black man President not just once, but twice.\u00a0 But what dream do modern Black Americans embrace?<\/p>\n
