No Media Bias Here."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, we noted that Heather Martens &#8211; leader of &#8220;Gun Safety&#8221; group &#8220;Protect&#8221; MN, and serial liar &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=55801\">demanded $1,500 to discuss &#8220;gun safety&#8221; on my show<\/a>, with me, someone with at least some track record of knowing the issue in some detail.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/DFLMinistryofTruthLARGE.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-25707\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/DFLMinistryofTruthLARGE.png\" alt=\"DFLMinistryofTruthLARGE\" width=\"320\" height=\"243\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/DFLMinistryofTruthLARGE.png 320w, http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/DFLMinistryofTruthLARGE-300x227.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We also noted that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=55809\">she\u00a0<em>did\u00a0<\/em>appear on KARE11 to debate &#8220;gun safety&#8221; <\/a>with Andy Parrish, a GOP strategist, who is not noted as a Second Amendment activist or someone with an especial command of the facts of the issue (which is not to disparage him; I don&#8217;t know any of his areas of expertise, either).<\/p>\n<p>Today comes confirmation that Martens did\u00a0<em>not\u00a0<\/em>ask, or recieve, $1,500 from KARE11.<\/p>\n<p>Why, it&#8217;s almost as if Martens knows that certain Twin Cities media outlets will paint her toenails on the air, and she&#8217;s avoiding having to deal with anyone who can point out her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=19611\">chronic, vocational mendacity<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I said &#8220;almost&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>I have no idea why.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, we noted that Heather Martens &#8211; leader of &#8220;Gun Safety&#8221; group &#8220;Protect&#8221; MN, and serial liar &#8211; demanded $1,500 to discuss &#8220;gun safety&#8221; on my show, with me, someone with at least some track record of knowing the issue in some detail.
