Texas (!) school district arrests kid for building a clock that they call a “hoax bomb”,<\/a> even though he never, ever called it that. \u00a0Indeed, other than the idiots at his school district and the Irvine TX police department, nobody ever did:<\/p>\n Ahmed Mohamed \u2014 who makes his own radios and repairs his own go-kart \u2014 hoped to impress his teachers when he brought a homemade clock to MacArthur High on Monday.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Instead, the school phoned police about Ahmed\u2019s circuit-stuffed pencil case.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n So the 14-year-old missed the student council meeting and took a trip in handcuffs to juvenile detention. His clock now sits in an evidence room. Police say they may yet charge him with making a hoax bomb \u2014 though they acknowledge he told everyone who would listen that it\u2019s a clock.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n In the meantime, Ahmed\u2019s been suspended, his father is upset and the Council on American-Islamic Relations is once again eyeing claims of Islamophobia in Irving.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n And you know what? \u00a0CAIR is right, and I hope the Mohammeds sue that idiot district back to the Stone Age.<\/p>\n
