LIBRELLE: \u00a0Hey, Merg!<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Oh, hey, Avery.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>LIBRELLE: \u00a0People who work deserve to earn a living!<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Hm. \u00a0OK – let’s say that you need your pipes repaired…<\/p>\n

<\/strong>LIBRELLE: \u00a0I do! \u00a0I have eco-friendly biodegradable pipes in my house.<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Of course you do. \u00a0So – I, an English major, come over to fix your pipes. \u00a0I have no plumbing skills whatsoever. \u00a0But I will no doubt work very hard to try to do the job. \u00a0So – do I “deserve” $15 an hour?<\/p>\n

LIBRELLE: \u00a0Well, if you can find a plumber who can work for $15 an hour, that’s an incredible bargain!<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Not if he can’t do the job. \u00a0And you’re deflecting. \u00a0The point is, if I have no skill worth spending any money for, why do I “deserve to make a living”.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>LIBRELLE: \u00a0[Holds arms up across face]<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0What’s that?<\/p>\n

<\/strong>LIBRELLE: \u00a0I’m blocking you.<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Huh?<\/p>\n

LIBRELLE: \u00a0That’s what I do on my “Minimum Wage Activist” facebook page; I block people who just don’t get it.<\/p>\n

BERG: \u00a0Huh. \u00a0[Holds up arms across own face]<\/p>\n

LIBRELLE: \u00a0Why do you hate communication?<\/p>\n
