And the results showed it. \u00a0Roz Peterson in Burnsville was the only flip to the GOP in the Metro (although it was a sweet victory indeed). \u00a0The rest of them? \u00a0Jim Knoblach winning back King Banaian’s seat by a recount-proof (barely) majoirity. \u00a0Jeff Backer trouncing Jay McNamar. \u00a0Josh Heintzeman and Dave Lueck flipping Crosby\/Baxter corner of the Iron Range in style. \u00a0Jason Rarick tipping Tim Faust in Kanabec County. \u00a0Tim Miller beat Andrew Falk, Brian Daniels over Fritz, and Hancock taking Bemidji back from Roger Erickson.<\/p>\n
One big winner last night – Minnesota gun owners. \u00a0DFLers from greater Minnesota largely deserted the Metrocrats during Michael Paymar and Alice Hausman’s gun-grab spree in 2013. \u00a0Shannon Savick, however, stuck with the Metrocrats.<\/p>\n
