{"id":4776,"date":"2009-05-14T06:53:25","date_gmt":"2009-05-14T11:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=4776"},"modified":"2009-05-14T06:53:25","modified_gmt":"2009-05-14T11:53:25","slug":"blogging-is-a-strange-thing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=4776","title":{"rendered":"Blogging Is A Strange Thing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been doing this blog for over seven years.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve written somewhere north of 10,000 posts in that time.\u00a0 Most of them are gone and forgotten &#8211; it&#8217;s an ephemeral medium &#8211; but I have a few favorites.<\/p>\n<p>And so do other people. I have a few posts I&#8217;ve written through the years that still get the occasional commenter, years after they were written; they turn up prominently on Google, so they have a bit of a life of their own. Posts about Plain Layne, Bill Frist, Ann Nelson (North Dakota&#8217;s sole 9\/11 victim), Kathleen Soliah, the Vikings Sex Cruise and Garrison Keillor still draw hits.<\/p>\n<p>Brad Carlson has <a href=\"http:\/\/bradley1969.blogspot.com\/2009\/05\/you-never-what-yer-gonna-get.html\">has a bit of a brush with this phenomenon<\/a>.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s now it starts:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I am still receiving comments on a post I put together last month.
