This bill doesn\u2019t stand a snowball\u2019s prayer in hell of having any effect. Here\u2019s the text of Hornstein\u2019s bill:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><em>    The state of Minnesota and its departments and agencies shall not purchase products from Jennie-O Turkey Store or its subsidiaries until Jennie-O Turkey Store or its subsidiaries ceases all alleged unfair labor practices, whether past or present, that are prohibited by section 8(a), subsections (1) and (3), of the National Labor Relations Act.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><em>     EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>TRANSLATION: Businesses that aren\u2019t union-friendly will be punished by the DFL majorities in Minnesota\u2019s legislature.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The question isn&#8217;t even union-friendliness (although the DFL&#8217;s willingness to yell &#8220;off what?&#8221; when unions yell &#8220;jump&#8221; should start the good voter thinking).
