On a composite &#8220;healthy lives&#8221; score, which includes deaths among infants and patients who would have survived had they received timely and effective healthcare, the UK came 10th.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_45215\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?attachment_id=45215\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-45215\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-45215\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-45215\" title=\"Healthcare\" src=\"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Healthcare-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-45215\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Click to view full size<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Here\u2019s the PowerPoint \u2013 UK is number 1 in everything except saving lives, which is the\u00a0<em>actual point of a health care system<\/em><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-style: italic;\">.\u00a0 So what they\u2019re really saying is Britain has the best health care\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">bureaucracy\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-style: italic;\">in the world.\u00a0 \u00a0I\u2019m not impressed.\u00a0 Looks like the best place to get sick is Switzerland, which does not\u00a0astonish me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Again the Narrative remains consistent:\u00a0 Liberal policies are measured for success based on the amount of\u00a0caring, money and\u00a0alleged effort invested, never on the results achieved.\u00a0 Trophies are awarded for showing up, not for coming in best or first.\u00a0 Ribbons all around!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s about &#8220;sending messages&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joe Doakes from Como Park emails: Study finds British national health care best in the world,\u00a0US worst.
