{"id":45121,"date":"2014-06-18T12:00:17","date_gmt":"2014-06-18T17:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=45121"},"modified":"2014-06-18T08:40:01","modified_gmt":"2014-06-18T13:40:01","slug":"high-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.shotinthedark.info\/wp\/?p=45121","title":{"rendered":"High Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At long last (within the next decade, anyway) as a growing plurality of Russians long for the Stalinist good ol&#8217; days and as Marxism essentially controls the American academy &#8211; the US will be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2014\/jun\/17\/museum-honor-victims-communism-seek-spot-national-\/\">building a museum dedicated to the victims of Communism<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation wants to break ground on a museum in Washington in October 2017, in time for the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution that created the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we see in Ukraine and Russia grappling with and dealing with the toxic legacy of Soviet communism in that part of the world, I think there is a growing awareness that this is a very serious and real issue,\u201d said Marion Smith, executive director of the foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The museum would house documents, art and other historical artifacts, Mr. Smith said.
